Well here is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me. I was raised by a pack of wolves until found by a clan of Vikings at age six. The Viking clan took me in and I remained with them until manhood. Well, kind of. I was born in San Francisco and raised in Daly City. I came from a working class family. My early schooling in catholic school didn’t last. I was kicked out half way through grade school. I never adjusted well to public school either. The socio-economic separation in the community during the 70’s and 80’s were quite evident (Daly City was rough!). My interest in comics and games as a kid, and my cultural development into the 80’s hardcore/metal music scene are the life experiences that had brought me in to tattooing. I met my friend Clay (he’s a tattoo artist) years ago at a Slayer gig and started tattooing soon after our introduction. Tattooing was a very different world 20 years ago, not so simple and welcoming. I have worked all over the bay area and northern California, as well as a few working trips abroad. My personal interests and experiences have created my style and taste in tattoo iconography. My main interest is traditional Japanese style tattoo art with classic American tattoo a close second. The bold striking potency and the timeless endurance of these images combined with the rich cultural meaning associated with them, has me captivated by them. There isn’t anything I will not do as long as I know I can do it well.
